Christina Bennett, MS, is an independent medical journalist based in San Antonio, TX, with a special focus in oncology. She writes for trade and consumer publications, including

Christina has written articles about policy issues, cost of care, cell therapies, gene editing, among other topics related to cancer or medicine. She attends the American Society of Clinical Oncology and San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium each year to provide on-site coverage for publications. She is available to provide on-site coverage for other conferences as needed. 

Christina was one of a dozen journalists selected for the 2017 National Cancer Reporting Fellowships. During the fellowship, she spent four days on the campus of the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD. She learned from fellow journalists about the nuances of reporting on cancer and attended lectures by experts from the National Cancer Institute and other institutions about a range of topics related to cancer.

Christina has a bachelor's degree in biomedical science and a minor in English from Texas A&M University. She also has a master’s degree in science and technology journalism from Texas A&M University. 

Christina is a member of the Association of Healthcare Journalists and National Association of Science Writers.
